Blox Fruits: The Fruit Notifier Leads to the Light Fruit

The Fruit Notifier in Blox Fruits completely changes the way players explore the seas. Its principle is simple: wait for a fruit to be detected, follow the direction provided by the item, then reach the area before another player claims it. However, one extra rule makes the adventure much riskier: every fruit found has to be eaten, without exception, whether it is powerful or not.
This progression begins with plenty of uncertainty. The notifier takes a long time to activate, while fights and quests continue in order to gain levels. Yet after more than an hour of waiting, the long-awaited alert finally appears. At the end of the journey is a Light Fruit, associated with Kizaru.
A drastic rule: eat every fruit found
The challenge requires every Devil Fruit picked up throughout the adventure to be consumed. It becomes impossible to keep a good fruit while waiting for something better: as soon as a new fruit is found, the current power has to be abandoned to try the next one.
This rule gives the notifier real importance. The item is not merely used to obtain fruits: it also determines the next playstyle. A common fruit can therefore replace a more interesting power simply because it was found afterward.
Before the notifier even gives a signal, a first fruit is collected unexpectedly. Lying on the ground and picked up by mistake, it turns out to be the Kilo Fruit. Confusion immediately follows, as another player seems to be responsible for the fruit being there. Despite the misunderstanding, the Kilo Fruit is tested and becomes the first power used during this session.
Using the Kilo Fruit to gain the first levels
The first battles take place against monkeys. Stat points are assigned to the fruit-related category to increase the damage dealt by its abilities. The Kilo Fruit does not seem very impressive at first, but it has a useful advantage against groups of enemies: it can knock them back and send them flying.
This ability makes fighting several monkeys at once easier. By drawing enemies in and then keeping some distance, it becomes possible to hit them as a group while taking fewer hits. Progression to level 20, then level 25, happens gradually this way.
The Kilo Fruit is not entirely convincing in terms of raw power. Nevertheless, it helps with progression and provides a better understanding of movement, combat, and stat distribution mechanics. This first experience recalls the early journey with the Light Fruit and Chop Fruit, where discovering fruits quickly changes progression priorities.
The Gorilla King and a team victory
The monkey area is also home to the Gorilla King, a boss far more dangerous than ordinary enemies. The opponent can quickly knock out a player, particularly with its ground attacks. The fight therefore soon becomes a group encounter.
The Kilo Fruit helps keep the boss at a distance and contribute damage, but the victory does not depend on that intervention alone. Other players join the fight, and the Gorilla King eventually falls. The experience reward is substantial enough to speed up progression to level 25.
This section clearly illustrates the difference between standard monsters and bosses in the early areas. A fruit that has not yet been mastered and a low-level character can contribute, but they are not always enough to defeat an opponent of this scale alone.
Arlong appears, but the reward slips away
As the exploration continues, an announcement signals that Arlong has appeared. The boss is level 100, representing a considerable obstacle at this point. Despite this, the fight is attempted with the Kilo Fruit.
The attacks deal very little damage to Arlong. The arrival of another player with a far more spectacular fruit turns the battle around. The boss is defeated, but no reward appears to be received. This disappointment highlights how difficult it is to take part in such events with a low level and limited equipment.
Encounters with more advanced players also offer a glimpse of impressive powers, including giant transformations and movements that are impossible to follow. By comparison, a character equipped with a simple katana and the Kilo Fruit seems particularly vulnerable.
Exploring new islands while waiting
The notifier remains silent for a long time. Rather than standing still, the exploration continues by boat. Several vessels are used along the way, sometimes taken after being left unattended.
This journey leads to new areas and makes it possible to buy Air Jump, a double-jump technique. This upgrade immediately provides more mobility, especially for reaching platforms or moving through uneven terrain. A new katana technique is also unlocked.
An unknown island, reminiscent of Lockdown, then becomes a farming location against pirates. The Kilo Fruit proves more effective there than expected: staying in the air makes it possible to avoid certain attacks, wait for the right moment, and then strike grouped enemies. This approach makes the encounters more manageable, even though the fruit is still considered limited.
For more advanced progression, the Magma Fruit is also a formidable option against First Sea bosses. Its use against several targets is covered in our article on the Magma Fruit and Sea 1 bosses.
The Fruit Notifier finally activates
After waiting for more than an hour, the alert finally appears: a fruit has been detected. The signal provides a direction and a distance to follow. The indicated island must then be reached quickly, with the fear that another player could arrive first.
The route leads to the foot of a steep area. The distance gradually decreases: 58 meters, 55 meters, then 40 and 30 meters. The fruit is clearly at the very top. Thanks to aerial movement and a careful climb, the summit is eventually reached.
The reward is a Light Fruit, also presented as Kizaru’s fruit. Extremely bright, it marks the conclusion of this long hunt. Above all, it is the first fruit found through the notifier, unlike the Kilo Fruit picked up by chance at the start of the adventure.
