Blox Fruits Update 20: New Tiki Island, Ships, Enchantments, and Leviathan

Blox Fruits Update 20 significantly transforms the experience at sea. Between a new area called Tiki, massive ships, a revamped interface, redesigned Fruits, and dangerous sea creatures, this update encourages players to explore rather than remain on the usual islands.

Several additions also seem connected: hunting sharks and the Leviathan provides materials, while Tiki Outpost contains NPCs, vendors, and an enchantment system that remains difficult to master during the first explorations.

A new Dark Blade and reworked animations

From the first tests, one of the most noticeable additions is the Dark Blade’s new appearance. Its design, poses, and visual effects stand out in particular. The weapon can also become spectacularly large through an interaction involving the sword and the Shift key.

The attacks appear far more expressive than before, with large slashing effects. The Dark Blade is not the only piece of equipment affected: the Saber also shows visual changes to certain abilities, notably Triple Slash and Deadly Rush.

This direction confirms the importance Update 20 places on weapon presentation. Animations do not necessarily change an item’s power by themselves, but they strongly alter the feel of combat.

Blox Fruits Fruits receive new models

Many Devil Fruits now have a more lively appearance. Some move on their own, display expressions, or use details that directly reflect their element and power.

  • The Rocket Fruit appears as a small animated Fruit, with visible lava beneath it.
  • The Spin Fruit has spinning eyes.
  • The Chop Fruit has received a more detailed model.
  • The Smoke Fruit resembles a smiling little cloud.
  • The Spike Fruit visibly displays spikes.
  • The Flame Fruit wears a pirate hat.
  • The Ice Fruit looks frozen, almost like an ice cube.
  • The Light Fruit stands out with a particularly dynamic animation.
  • The Magma Fruit appears to flow continuously.
  • The Tremor Fruit shakes by itself.

The Rocket Fruit is among the elements that immediately draw attention. It can be purchased in its permanent version for 50 Robux, but doing so replaces the permanent Fruit already owned. It is therefore best to check this choice before making a purchase.

The more powerful Fruits naturally remain highly sought after. The Mammoth Fruit, already explored through to its transformation in this look at the Mammoth Fruit and its 300 mastery, is notably among the options visible in the shop.

Tiki Outpost, an island for level 2450 players

The main destination of Update 20 is Tiki Outpost. Access to this island requires level 2450. The area is recognizable by its rainy atmosphere, port, castle, and numerous elevated areas to explore.

Its architecture resembles a fortified base built on the edge of the sea. It contains enemies, a quest giver, a prison, and several paths leading to higher parts of the island. Tiki appears to serve above all as the starting point for the new maritime activities.

An NPC located in the castle mentions the Leviathan and asks for components with mysterious names, including Tiny Born Essence and Primordial. There is also mention of a Red King and the need to stop the Leviathan before it causes further destruction.

A new fighting style also seems to be associated with the area, although its access requirements are not immediately clear. Owning the Ghoul race is not enough: a Cold Heart appears to be required. The exact source of this item remains to be clarified through exploration.

Sentinel and Beast Hunter: the new ships

Update 20 introduces several vessels that are far more massive than the usual boats. The Sentinel stands out through its speed and appearance. It also has an interior with a bed, giving the vehicle the feel of a true travel ship.

The Sentinel can fly, but only at a low altitude. Its operation requires it to keep moving forward: it does not rise freely like an aerial power. This system mainly allows it to hover slightly above the surface, with some unstable behavior noticeable while moving.

The Beast Hunter, meanwhile, takes the shape of a shark. It cannot fly, but its speed and design make it a particularly striking boat. These vehicles become essential for crossing maritime areas and facing the dangers introduced by the update.

Sea combat is not new to Blox Fruits: obtaining the Shark Anchor already requires gathering several sea-related resources and defeating a Terror Shark. Find the steps in our guide on how to get the Shark Anchor and reach 350 mastery.

Sharks, the Terror Shark, and the Leviathan’s arrival

The sea has become much less safe. Sharks can attack boats and drop Shark Teeth after being defeated. These enemies are manageable when isolated or lured toward a rock, but fights remain risky from the water.

The Terror Shark is a much more serious threat when faced solo. Its durability makes the battle lengthy, especially without suitable gear or outside help. The Dragon Fruit can nevertheless offer a solution thanks to its transformation and aerial mobility, as shown in our account of how to defeat the Terror Shark solo with the Dragon Fruit.

The Leviathan goes even further. This gigantic creature appears at sea and seems to require a well-organized group. Damage dealt with ordinary attacks appears very low, while the monster poses an immediate threat to players and their ship. Early attempts clearly show that this is not a boss to approach alone without preparation.

A compass can change color while sailing and signal different levels of danger or rarity, with indicators such as “epic” or “extreme.” Its exact function still needs to be understood, but it appears to be connected to maritime encounters and events.

Vendors, sea items, and the enchantment system

At Tiki Outpost, a vendor offers items that use resources obtained at sea. The visible equipment includes a necklace and a jaw with eyes. Shark Teeth are not always enough, however: some recipes require an additional item, such as a Terror Jaw.

An enchanter is also hidden in a tower reached by ladder. Its interface allows a sword to be enchanted, but the system seems to require a prior upgrade as well as several components. At first, only a common enchantment is available, while the other options remain locked.

The presence of percentages, scrolls, and rarity tiers suggests that weapon optimization will play a major role in Update 20 progression.

Mirage Island and unpredictable events at sea

Exploration can also cause a Mirage Island to appear, shrouded in fog and filled with chests. It includes hard-to-read paths, trees, and an environment resembling a maze. Fragments can be collected from the chests scattered across the island.

Its sudden appearance reinforces the unpredictable nature of travel. Between weather events, lightning, sea attacks, sharks, and giant creatures, Update 20 gives maritime travel much greater importance.
